SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: Compared to last week, Feeder cattle  
were steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 165.00-177.00; 500-600 lbs 151.00-164.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 159.00-178.00, 500-600 lbs 145.00-169.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 133.00-159.00, 500-600 lbs 
128.00-146.00. Slaughter cows were steady to 5.00 lower.  Slaughter cows: 
Breakers 70-80% lean 69.00-71.00; Boners 80-85% lean 62.00-74.00; Lean 
85-90% lean 59.00-68.00; Lean Low Dressing 42.00-60.00.  Slaughter bulls 
were steady.  Slaughter bulls: 1075-2060 lbs 65.00-104.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 920-1325 lbs Young to Middle Age
Cows with 100-365 lbs calves 900.00-1510.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday. Plant delivered base weighted average. National 
direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was N/A.  Sows on 
Monday live price 300-450 lbs 45.70; 450-500 lbs 49.33; 500-550 lbs 
51.19.
   SC Grain on Tuesday:  Corn was steady to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 
3.70-4.44; processor bids 4.25-4.70.  Soybeans were 6 to 8 cents higher; 
elevator bids 9.79-9.89, processor bid 10.44, and export bid 10.44.  New 
crop wheat was mostly 3 to 4 cents lower and one location was 2 cents
higher; elevator bids 4.04-4.80. 
   Cotton on Tuesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.30
lower at 83.48.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
